Maa Oori Polimera 2 Movie Review
“Maa Oori Polimera 2” continues the story from its predecessor, set in the village of Jastipalli, focusing on characters like Komarayya (Satyam Rajesh), Lakshmi, Balija, Ramulu, and Kavita. The arrival of a new SI, Ravindra Naik, in Jastipalli coincides with the investigation of the missing person case involving Jangayya (Baladitya). The film intricately weaves together the mystery surrounding Jangayya’s disappearance with the events unfolding in the village.
Satyam Rajesh delivers a nuanced performance as Komarayya, effortlessly portraying the complexities of his character. His ability to showcase both simplicity and intensity is commendable, although the character could have been explored further. Kamakshi Bhaskarla impresses with her portrayal, especially in the emotional sequences, adding depth to her role. The supporting cast, including Getup Sreenu and Rakendu Mouli, contribute decent performances within their given scope.
Directed by Dr. Anil Vishwanath, “Maa Oori Polimera 2” introduces new elements related to history and black magic, expanding on the themes explored in the previous installment. The film’s opening sequence effectively acquaints viewers with the characters and basic storyline, ensuring a smooth transition for those unfamiliar with the first part. However, the film’s strength lies in its intriguing factor, capturing the audience’s attention from the beginning.
While the initial momentum is engaging, the narrative becomes convoluted as it progresses. The frequent jumps in time and intricate connections to the first part may confuse viewers, hindering their understanding of the actual timeline. Much of the sequel involves reimagining scenes from the previous film, providing a new perspective but risking confusion for those unacquainted with the original plot.
The second half introduces unexpected twists, altering characterizations and adding suspense to the storyline. While some twists lack impact, the black magic elements bring a sense of intrigue, even if slightly far-fetched. The climax offers a mix of thrill and drama, though certain aspects may come across as exaggerated, leaving viewers with a mixed impression.
The film’s chosen historical temple backdrop, while intriguing, lacks depth due to superficial exploration and amateurish dialogues. Despite its flaws, “Maa Oori Polimera 2” offers glimpses of the dark mystery thriller genre, making it worth a watch for enthusiasts of this genre, albeit with tempered expectations.

“Maa Oori Polimera 2” delivers moments of suspense and thrill, particularly for viewers familiar with the first installment.
