Munduvareda Adhyaya is an interesting outing for those who like their crime thrillers. Give it a watch without excessive expectations.
ACP Bala lands up in the midst of a murder mystery that has a lot more than what meets the eye. With many characters and twists, he’s got himself a case that keeps getting intriguing with every reveal.
Munduvareda Adhyaya is a crime thriller that tries to steer clear from the usual tropes that have been used in this genre by local filmmakers. Director Balu Chandrasekhar has tried to narrate a tale that keeps one engrossed to an extent and the filmmakers have narrated a slick film within limited means.
The film opens with a murder scene. This is followed by a prologue that reveals multiple characters that one can expect in the film and then one gets to see the story move forward. This takes around half an hour to unveil and this innovation from the filmmaker seems novel and adds to the style quotient.
What follows is an interesting first half that sets the tone for a whodunit that might actually be better than the average fare. But the second half sees some predictable twists and a little bit of commercial elements being thrown in that seems rather disappointing. But Munduvareda Adhyaya is still an interesting outing for those who like their crime thrillers. Give it a watch without excessive expectations.
